A Simple Request

Honestly? I am not sure who really reads this blog of ours.  It is a small way for me to record our life, to share my heart, and to remind myself how living in thanks should be a daily goal.  But, at this moment, I want to ask for your vote.  It will only take a second minute of your time!  I promise.

On our trip to Boston, which ended in complete shock, heartache for many, but incredible on our knees thanks to God for us, we also accomplished quite a few firsts for our little Bug.  He slept in a hotel room, ahem, the bathroom actually, for the first time.  (Disclaimer:  He slept in his Pack n' Play, NOT the bathtub!)  He endured a 10 hour car trip for the first time.  He rode on public transportation for the first time, "Boston's T".  He visited a BIG city for the first time.  And, last but certainly NOT least, he went to his first baseball game, which was also his FIRST Red Sox game.  Which brings me to my request.

We've entered the photo below into a local contest with the Roanoke Times:  the Ultimate Boston Red Sox fan.  If you would be kind enough to vote for his photo everyday through May 30, it would make our hearts happy.  (Actually, my hope is to win for his Dada...a late, but pretty awesome, first Father's Day gift...)  The Red Sox and Fenway were my gift to SPK on our wedding day.  Our second visit was our Bug's first game.  They have a pretty special place in my heart, that Green Monster, Wally, Fenway Franks, Pedroia & Big Papi, Bobby Doerr, Pesky's Pole, dressing in navy and red, and Ted Williams' lone red seat (section 42, row 37, seat 21).

So, if you would click on this link and vote for our photo, we'd appreciate it!  We are photo 37 of 37.

With thanks, for an unforgettable weekend and the sunshine these moments were before the storm.  Still praying for Boston.
Boston strong.
