Unseen Footprints Continued

This morning, these dear friends left for Japan.  Finley and I were able to spend time with them Thursday afternoon (thanks to the Furmans for sharing precious time with us).  Yesterday, we had some quick good-bye hugs. 
I'm truly thankful for those unseen footprints.  By God's grace, we were able to rejoice with them over the provision of a little one with a steady heartbeat at 12 weeks along.  What a sweet moment to see that sonogram photo.  We've been praying for a little Cain for a long while.  That celebratory hug was on my Top Ten Hugs List. 
I'm truly thankful for their hearts for the Japanese.  And, yes, I'm thankful for the heartache and tough times that forged a forever friendship in prayer and walks around our neighborhood together. 
So, now that they are on their way, our hearts are a little sad that we can't plan a date together or that a walk might be a little impossible...but our hearts are more filled with joy, because a few more people who haven't heard about Jesus have the opportunity to feel His love and hope in the form of knowing these sweet people.
