Whisked Away

Consisted of:
-An early Valentine's message from Bobby Valentine, new manager of the BoSox.
-A hotel nestled on Main Street within easy walking distance of cute shops, good eats, and just plain, walking while holding hands.
-Eating dark chocolate covered strawberries all weekend.
-Playing pool with my man while watching UNC v. Maryland & VT v. Clemson.
-Perfect timing, needed to get away.
-Belly laughing to the point of being doubled over a shuffle board.  All due to the antics of my husband's newly created moves before shuffling.
-Beating him at shuffle board two games; one of which, the final score was 21-10.  (Okay, so for the record he did beat me 4 out of 6 games...sigh.)
-A Saturday morning where a few moments were spent sitting in the lobby, in front of the fire just reading the newspaper and eating breakfast...together.
-Nachos at Hokie House.
-Uninterrupted conversations.
I love this man, this gift of God, this person who still woos me and who is above all else my best friend.  He is, without a doubt, my heart's hero.  Thank you for helping me to live life to its fullest, for your kindness towards others, for your commitment to wisdom and working to provide, and for your other side, which refuses to let go of the fun of youth.  You made my birthday.  I love you, SPK.
