A Short Rendition of Christmas 2010

A little late, but here goes...Christmas in short.
--It was truly a white Christmas with snow falling throughout the day!
--Scott's excitement with his Mountain Hardware bag for Christmas, which he didn't think he was getting! And, my Nook! Had no idea, to the point that I didn't know what it was! Love it! My husband knows me well and continues to spoil me.
--Spending time with the entire Kier family, playing games on Christmas Eve (Buzzword--a great one!), opening gifts lasting throughout the morning, food that made your mouth water, Mom's chocolate pie, and laughter abounding. We are almost double in size and the joy in that reality is an amazing gift!
--Noni's gift for me: a scale. No further explanation needed as to why everyone laughed! :)
--Liz AND Josh's gifts that made Mom cry! (Ha ha, it was NOT me this year!)
--Josh and Allie's monkey bread and their first married Christmas together.
--Liz and Jensen's matching Christmas shirts.
--Dad's tears at the amazing birthday gift Mom worked out for him. On Christmas day, we all get an annual ornament to document the past year. Dad's was the tackiest foot-long flamingo, I have ever seen! With the flamingo came the announcement that ALL of us will be going to the beach to celebrate his 60th. As he opened it, we all put on sunglasses. He cried. It was perfect.(In the background, the past few months watching Mom fret over making sure the surprise was perfect and just what he would want! )
--Sarah opening her new PJs from Rhett. They were a women's size small (as in petite, regular, and women's sizes being the range). Sarah is tiny. Needless to say, it was sooo, funny!
--Rhett opening his red wagon, just like the one we used to take rides in on Saturday mornings with all four kids and dad! And, the fact that it was Sarah's idea!
--A few hi-lites about our niece: watching her open her pile of gifts and yet, her fascination with the box of Hot Tamales! Her joy at making us laugh when she continued to point to her pajamas (covered with monkeys) and say "Monkey...hoo, hoo"! Sitting in the kitchen floor with her to read, play with Tupperware, or walking laps around the basement as she pushed her new baby in the new stroller. Hearing her say my name and in essence, name me: Deca. Watching her be shy with Scott and then warm up to him. Seeing her loved on by her mom and dad. Kissing her rosy cheeks, heaven! :)
--Our little friend "L", opening her boots (fake Uggs) from us. I thought, "they will be adorable on her, but probably not her fave." Oh, contraire. Her response, hugging a boot to her chest and exclaming with gusto, "my boots!" :)
--The realization that God has been entirely so good to us. His faithfulness was apparent in the faces of those humans I love most on this earth.
