In undergrad, I was an English Literature major. Currently, I teach fifth grade, and reading/writing are my loves that remain. (Although, in recent years math is growing on me. I can't seem to ignore the joy I find when kids connect subtracting with mixed numbers to the process of figuring out the time that has elapsed.) Wednesday was Dr. Seuss's birthday. In children's literature, he is one of the greatest authors to date. If he were alive and could write a book about the cutest kid on the planet, I wonder what words he would use?
