A new addition!!

It's funny, when you are married, and you say those words, most people immediately assume, the miniature human kind...umm, not in this case people!! :) Sorry for those of you who are disappointed, but in this family when we say addition, we mean the construction kind!! Sooo, as of the first of July, well more like for awhile, Scott and I have been discussing what needed to change about the house. We talked with a builder the week of July 4th (while painting) and as a result, made the decision to put a deck on the back of the house! Instead of your normal top deck with 12' x 15' dimensions we have added a two level deck: the bottom level is the entire length of the back of our house, while the top is the smaller (about half the size of the bottom). We are happily cooking out and gazing at the magnificent mountains in the distance with our two red 'football chairs' and our card table covered by a blue vinyl tablecloth! A bit lacking in style, but completely does the job! We plan to cookout sometime soon in the hopes to show our little space off. I think my parents commented that we doubled the size of our 'little brick shoebox'! Until next time and maybe a BBQ with some of you?!
